Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to Emphasize Diversifying its Inductees

With the inclusion of more women and genres spanning from R&B, hip-hop, rock, the blues, pop, and funk, the Hall of Fame is continuing its commitment to diversify as an institution after years of being criticized for its selections.

Previously, Blige was nominated in 2021, and after getting nominations in 2022 and 2023, ATCQ received the call on their third nomination.

Kool & The Gang, Cher, Foreigner, Frampton, and Osbourne, who was already inducted as a member of Black Sabbath, will all be inducted on their first ballot entry.

The induction ceremony will be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland on Oct. 19 and stream live on Disney+ and on Hulu the next day.

The broadcast will air on ABC at a later date.
