On Feb. 4 at 9 p.m., CBS will air Katie Couric's "All Access" Grammy Special where the mainstream television journalist will interview, get this, Lil' Wayne. Wayne, who leads in Grammy nominations with 8 for this upcoming Awards show, talks about his absentee father, his music, and his status as a "gangster."

The 1-on-1 sitdown interview takes place at a bowling alley, one of Lil' Wayne's hobbies. In the interview, which is picking up steam on most hip hop websites and creating anticipation for its airdate, Lil' Wayne tells Couric that music is a form of journalism. He says, "I believe that music is another form of news. Music is another form of journalism to me, so I have to cover all areas with my album. You get Lil' Wayne's take on the new president, Lil' Wayne's take on the economy."

Lil' Wayne also addresses the reason he calls himself Wayne, over his true first name which is Dwayne. "I dropped the D, because I'm a junior," Wayne says before pausing. "My father's living and he's not in my life. He's never been in my life, so I don't want to be Dwayne. I'd rather be Wayne." Couric goes on to ask Wayne whether his father knows this, to which he responds, "he knows now."

Katie Couric also asks Wayne about Hurricane Katrina, and notes that Wayne is performing a song about Hurricane Katrina at the Grammys. When Couric asks whether Lil' Wayne, a New Orleans-native, had anything to ask President Bush about Katrina, he responds, "I'm a gangster and gangsters don't ask questions.
