If Keri Hilson's world were perfect, her debut wouldn't have suffered any major set backs and also would have easily crossed the threshold of 10 million copies in its opening week.

But, despite not releasing the set after several pushbacks, her debut effort was original slated for a 2007 release, Keri has reamined optomistic about the support from her label, her material, and her fan base.

Label politics aside, Hilson's eyes are and always will be focused on her beloved craft, writing, "My perfect world would be a whole lot of different music," Keri explained to BET.com. "It would also consist of me being happy doing this as long as it makes me happy. I don’t think no amount of money could keep me from writing music.”

Eyeing a February release, Keri's debut is home to a track that set the tone for her album, her chemistry with famed producer, Timbaland and the support from her label, Interscope Records," 'Where Did He Go' is the second song I did with Timbaland, but it was the first weekend that I met him, said Hilson.

She added, "It’s the song that I knew me and Timbaland had a very special chemistry. “Where Did He Go” got me my deal, it’s the song that started the bidding war and it’s the song that kept Interscope interested in me, so I’m extremely proud of that one."

As for the track's commentary, Keri allows the listener to interpet the song however they feel, but for her, it lies along the lines of a personal experience, “I mean you can put your own interpretation on the music, but the song is speaking of a lost love that I experienced," Keri said with a slight smile.

In A Perfect World, which sports appearances from Lil Wayne, Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, R.Kelly, Akon and more, is set for a February release via Zone 4/Mosley Music Group/Interscope Records.
