After captivating audiences for two seasons with her BET reality show, “The Way It Is,” Keyshia Cole is getting ready to hit the road for her “A Different Me” tour.
The 20 city tour will feature Cole as the headliner, but she’s not coming alone. Her label mate Keri Hilson, The Dream, and Bobby V will also share stage time.
The summer tour kicks off May 13 in Cincinnati at the Aronoff Theater and will conclude June 21.
Cole’s manager, Manney Haley says that both his client and fans are excited about the upcoming tour, citing one venue that is close to selling out. "This is going to be a very exciting tour for Keyshia and her fans are already lining up to buy tickets. In Atlantic City the venue is already close to capacity."
For Keyshia, getting to interact with her fans will be the most satisfying aspect of the tour.
"The most gratifying thing for me in show business is having the ability to be intimate with my fans. Singing directly to them is the most intimate thing I can do,” she says.
The singer doesn’t appear to be taking any time off before the tour starts. Cole just wrapped shooting on “Trust”, a duet with Monica, from her latest album that shares the name of the tour. She’ll shoot the fourth single, “This Is Us” shortly before the tour begins.
