Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey issued a very clear warning to Rihanna during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, March 6.
"If a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again," Oprah explained on her show, in reference to the recent altercation between singers Rihanna and Chris Brown.
Oprah along with friend Gayle King, Ali Wentworth and actor Mark Consuelos discussed the recent Chris Brown/Rihanna happenings as part of Oprah’s Friday’s Live.
In a round table format, the four gave their opinions on Rihanna and Chris Brown and briefly discussed domestic violence among the younger generation with Oprah expressing her concern regarding the young couple.
"It makes me so sad. The truth is that both Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I were your friend I'd call and say: 'Give it some time, get yourself counseling, take care of yourself and heal yourself first,” said Oprah.
Oprah is just the latest of celebrities to voice their opinion on Chris Brown and Rihanna. Last month, Oprah’s friend Gayle made headlines when she rejected Brown’s public apology.
“Right now I can’t think of anything that makes me support anything that Chris Brown is saying at this time,” Gayle told celebrity news show “Extra”. “And my heart just aches for Rihanna.”
In similar news, Donald Trump shared his opinion on Chris Brown and Rihanna with Inside Edition.
“She better get the hell out,” Donald Trump explained to “Inside Edition’s" Deborah Norville “If she goes back, she’s a loser, and she doesn’t deserve to have any future success.”
