Lil Scrappy Released From Prison After Weekend Stabbing

Posted July 21, 2008- As previously reported, ATL hip hop artist, Lil Scrappy was involved in an altercation over the weekend which resulted in Scrappy being stabbed, detained by Dekalb County authorities and charged with firearm possession during a crime, marijuana possession, battery and obstruction of officers.

According to the Associated Press, Lil Scrappy, whose real name is Darryl Richardson became involved in the physical dispute with his girlfriends brother after he and the young lady became entangled in a heated argument. The unidentified man who stabbed Scrappy has yet to been brought up on any charges.

Scrappy, however, was charged use of a weapon during a crime, felony marijuana possession, misdemeanor obstruction of police officers and battery. Richardson was released this Sunday from a Georgia prison on a $1,500 bond.
