Posted Mar. 10, 2008 -- Despite a recent news report byTMZ.com that the Game had been released early from serving his 60-day sentence, the Compton rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was actually transferred to a safer facility, according to hiphopdx.com.

The Game, who willingly turned himself in on Sunday, March 2, is currently serving a 60-day sentence for an assault and weapons possession charges stemming from an altercation last February during a pick-up basketball game in Compton, California. Before turning himself in, Game was prepping his third and final LP, LAX, which is set to be released this June. It will pair the LA lyricist back with former mentor and famed producer, Dr. Dre.

At press time, there was no official word on this news or his album's guest appearances or contributing producers, as Game's record label Geffen Records was unavailable to comment.
