This December, rapper DMX will be stepping out of the studio booth and into the squared circle for a charity Mixed Martial Arts match in Alabama. Calling into Washington’s 106.7FM The Fan to talk about his fight against actor Eric Martine, DMX revealed that he is not bothering to even train for the event.

“I’m just going to walk in as is” X boasted. “It wouldn’t be fair if I trained.” DMX went on to say that while he may not knock out Martine in the opening round, he did proclaim that “the fight is gonna make it to the end.”

Although he said that he has plenty of experience fighting from his younger days, X does not plan on making fighting a new career choice.

 “I’m not trying to have my face all messed up,” he joked.

In regards to his music career, DMX is aiming to release a new album in the first quarter of 2010, saying that he is “in the studio everyday,” and that his life is currently about trying to “stay focused on the music, stay focused on my family.”
