HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOUR WORST QUALITY?
They probably would say I am too hard on myself, and I can be an overachiever, or I try to do too many things at one time.

WHAT’S THE CRAZIEST/MOST EMBARASSING THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?
Just recently, I had my afro, and I went to the movies in a Black neighborhood, and all the kids were taking pictures, laughing and pointing at me in front of all my friends. I felt bad because my afro would have been a symbol of beauty in my community 30 years ago, and today people laugh. I was so ashamed to be Black for five minutes. I was almost in tears.

WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
..being able to revitalize myself as a women/being independent, getting my education and pursuing my education beyond high school, and pursuing my dreams with no regrets.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ROL MODELS OR MENTORS?
My mom and dad. My mother because she assisted me in becoming a woman, and she is going to get her Ph.D. My father for being there. Both of them for their undying love and because they both have bachelor’s degrees.

WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE CAREER GOAL?
I really want to be a writer or a VJ on BET. I think being a part of this show would allow me to take the first steps to get there. Along with my education because education always gives you the extra that you need. I also refuse to let anyone tell me I can’t achieve my dreams.

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE A JOB TODAY, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I would be a VJ/spokesperson on BET. I love to speak and I love working with all different people and gaining new perspectives. Most importantly, I love music! Music has elevated our culture to the forefront and I would love to talk to artists and experts and that would let me die a happy woman. That is my dream.
