In the wake of the swine flu outbreak, here are a few tips from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for staying healthy.

-Don’t go close to sick people.

-Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and be sure to throw the tissue in the trashcan afterwards.

-Make sure to wash your hands with soap and water. Hand cleansers that are alcohol-based are also good.

-Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth to prevent the spread of germs.

-If you’re sick, stay home. In addition, reduce your contact with people so you won’t infect them.

-Take heed to public health advice, which could include staying away from crowds.
