Oprah's Mom Countersues
High-end fashion store, Valentina, claims Vernita Lee (Oprah's mama) ran up a $155,000 tab as of July 1. They sued, saying Lee hasn't been making the $2,000 minimum monthly payments. Lee countersued, claiming the store took advantage of her "lack of knowledge, ability and/or capacity" when they set up the account for her.
