San Antonio Spurs swingman Manu Ginobili didn’t get sick from swine; it was bats he had to be vaccinated for.
On Halloween, Ginobili caught a bat and removed it from the court at the AT&T Center during a game against Sacramento. As the bat flapped around the court, Ginobili swatted it out of thin air, then picked up the unfortunate creature and took it away as the crowd cheered.
He said on his Facebook page that he was told to get shots for rabies, just to make sure. He also issued a warning for others who might try such a courageous move: stay away from “bats, skunks, raccoons, rats and animals like that.”
