..fiesty and competitive, dramatic and animated … a firecracker!
I have a lot of energy and get more hyped the later it gets.

What is the biggest sacrifice you’ve made to sing and follow your dreams?
I let go of work to travel and minister.

since sunshine band – six or seven years old

CeCe Winans, Kayla Parker, Tye Tribbett, Melanie Daniels, Kurt Carr

What do you consider to be your biggest obstacle in becoming a professional gospel singer?
1) writing songs; although they’re in me, I have not written a lot
2) personal promotion and exposure

  • congratualations!!! i called you from the very first time i saw you at your audition! i called my friends and told them to watch out for you....all i got to say, i was told by a mutual friend of our that you have been in this game for a while and have been duped by a lot of so called projects that did not get off the ground, so all i got to say this is yoru season, run with it but remember you integrity and dont make a project that is shelf life!!! i was amazed at how you made some of those wack song selections on the show, still deliver jesus christ! love your annoitment!   • i just want to say that when i first heard you sing, i knew you were sunday's best i felt something everytime i heard you sing and a couple of times the songs you sang brought tears to my ears now that is something. you are very annointed, i'll watch out for your cd i can't wait to hear it. i believe it is going to be a great. i still go back and watch all your performances everyday sometimes twice a day cause your voice is such a blessing.

  • crystal, i watched the show from day one and i selected you from the first time that i saw you sing, because you allow god to reign. it's not you but the god that's in you and you know that and you have a song ministry. i thank god for you because you allowed god to use you on that stage. you could have gotten star struck but you know who gets the glory. congratulations on the win because you deserve it! keep him first and many people will be blessed by your singing ministry. i love you and we are praying for you.

  • fyi ... the phone number listed to vote for chrystal on the show i just watched is wrong. the correct number to vote for chrystal is 866-940-9982. the number shown on the program ended in '1' and is for shari. bet switched the numbers. shari answered the first time i called in to vote for chrystal on the number ending in '1;' it ended up being a vote for shari. i wonder how many times that happened ... remember, to vote for chrystal you have to call 866-940-9982. be blessed!

  • but few are chosen yes has an awesome voice but this competition is not american idol. being a christian singer carries a lot of responsibilities. your mission is to minister to the people, saving souls being that vessel. singing gospel music does not make you a true believer and doer of his word. on that note crystal is a true performer.

  • i will never forget the day when i was in my frontroom and sunday best came on so i said to myself umm good i did not know that this was coming on. my husband was in the den on the computer so i sat down to watch and lo and behold ms.aikens came out and song alabaster jar and the next is history i jumped up in my frontroom and started to shout thank you god she is so right nobody knows.her voice her voice.is like an angel.
