Are you the biggest hip-hop fan that you know? Do you love hip-hop, know hip-hop and breathe hip-hop? Now is your chance to prove it.

What if you had the chance to have an impact on who takes home the hardware at the BET Hip-Hop Awards? BET recognizes the impact that fans have had on the rise of BET and the industry, and would like to reward the fans by offering a chance of a lifetime.

BET is looking for 75 fans/tastemakers to join the Voting Academy to determine this year’s BET Hip-Hop Award winners.

After the success of the BET Awards, the BET Hip-Hop Awards will again open up the ballots to the fans and allow them to play a major role in who will win Awards such as “Lyricist of the Year” and “Rookie of the Year.”

But BET is not looking for just anyone to participate.

Interested individuals must first submit an online application via BET.com that will serve as the first step in gaining entry into the BET Hip-Hop Awards Voting Academy.

In order to be considered a part of this esteemed collective, you must first pass a “knowledge test” that challenges your level of familiarity with hip-hop culture from yesterday and today.

From there, the remaining entrants that have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are worthy of the distinction will be hand-picked to represent the Voting Academy.  The 75 new members of the Voting Academy will be highlighted online for the world to see.
