The question on everyone’s mind – “Who will host the 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards?” – has finally been answered.

After searching high and low, there is only one person who fits the bill perfectly.

That person is the one and only Mike Epps.
Epps will be the third host of the BET Hip-Hop Awards – Katt Williams and T-Pain preceded him – and he is expected to deliver with his razor-sharp wit.
The career of Mike Epps is one filled with accolades and an ever growing resume. The stand-up comedian and former host of HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” exploded onto the Hollywood scene as an actor in films such as “All About the Benjamins,” “Next Friday,” “Friday After Next,” “The Fighting Temptations,” “Resident Evil: Apocalypse,” and more recently, “Next Day Air” and “Janky Promoters.”

Epps will continue to showcase his stand-up talents in an upcoming one-hour Showtime comedy special titled, "Under-rated and Never Faded - Live from Detroit," which will premiere on Saturday, October 3rd.

The Indiana native has also dabbled in hip-hop from time to time. He’s been featured on multiple skits for top-shelf hip-hop artists and even released a video for his foray into rap, “Big Girls.” This has all culminated in Epps preparing to drop a hip-hop comedy album titled, “Funny Bidness” on October 27. The album will feature collaborations with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Kid Rock and Slim Thug.

Tune in to BET on October 27 to watch Mike Epps host the 4th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards from Atlanta, GA, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
