Posted March 29, 2008 -- In its 8 years of existence, BET’s Spring Bling has broken some of the hottest new artists in hip hop. And though the scope of the industry has changed, one particular face has adapted each year. BET.com caught up with super producer, Mr. Collipark, who holds court at his own label, Collipark Records which is distributed through Interscope Records, hit Spring Bling to catch up with some familiar faces. And though his artist, Souljah Boy, is celebrating his first appearance at this year’s festivities, Mr. Collipark calls Spring Bling home.

Producing hits for Jamie Foxx, The Ying Yang Twins, Soulja Boy, Twista, and Young Jeezy, who’ve all hit the Spring Bling stage at one point or another, Mr. Collipark’s familiarity with Spring Bling makes that much more fun for him and his artists to enjoy. “I’m at BET’s Spring Bling every year, it just so happens this year I have Soulja Boy out here with is own section, Soulja Boy’s Playhouse. Then we have Vic, he’s a new artist my brother has on Young Mobile Records, and he’s apart of the Souljah Boy set so I’m going to find a reason to be out here every year’ Collipark told Bet.com.

Of course, Mr.Collipark’s work ethic won’t allow him to just settle for hip hop triumphs because he’s now embarking on an R&B trail of success. “I’m bout to change the whole outlook on urban music. I have this new group, Destoso Bosses and Destoso is Hispanic for gorgeous,"  he said. “It’s like Hannah Montana meets TLC and I feel it’s very needed right now because the people are frustrated with the lack of creativity in the game.”

Not only has BET helped Mr. Collipark achieve much success over the last several years, but returning to Spring Bling every year is like a family reunion for the super producer “ I look for the staff because it’s been Ying Yang up until now, I’ve become good friends with the staff out here so it’s like returning to visit your family” asserted Collipark.
