Albert Greene is a gospel and soul music singer who received great acclaim in the 1970s with his debut album, "Green Is Blues." He became an ordained pastor of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Memphis in 1976, while continuing to record R&B. Green garnered eight "soul gospel performance" Grammys. Green still continues to tour, and preach at the Full Gospel Tabernacle. Recently, Al Green worked on his latest album with The Roots' ?uestlove. The album, Lay It Down, includes tracks featuring John Legend and Anthony Hamilton.
