violet (color me purple) opps, i forgot to sign my comment. i don't think that today's generation really appreciate the work of quincy "q" jones. this man is a legend, before his time. i have been loving his work and following his career for 30 years. in reading his autobiography, his list of work fills over 10 pages in his book and he is still going strong. i fell in love with "q" when he did smackwater jack, and its been that way every since. for whatever is said about his personal life, i love and respect his body of work and thank him for the stand that he took years ago to never all

i thank mr. q for his huge help with michael's career esp. during the thriller which is now and will still be the biggest selling album of all time. i hope that one day, on the day of the awarding i should say, michael jackson, the king of pop, will personally present him the humanitarian award. congratulations, mr. q and i, as the king of pop's fan, wish that someday there will be a reunion being you as michael's producer once again.
