Celeste Johnny’s unique talent and love for fashion has propelled her rise as an international swimwear designer for one of the newest and most exclusive swimwear brands, JOHNNY VINCENT.
A Chicago native, Celeste has been fashion lover since the age of 8. Inspired by her mother’s love for fashion and great sense of style, Celeste started her journey into the world of fashion designing prom dresses at age 13.
Celeste graduated from Louisiana State University where she served as Wardrobe Consultant for the LSU Fashion Committee and eventually became a member of the University’s Fashion Board. While at LSU, she designed dresses for her sorority sisters, the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha. After graduating from LSU, Celeste relocated to the fashion capital of the world, New York City.
To expand her knowledge base, Celeste enrolled at Parsons School of Design where she discovered her passion and talent for designing swimwear. With folders full of designs, Celeste made her dream a reality. In 2006 she launched her very own swimwear company, JOHNNY VINCENT.
JOHNNY VINCENT is a true representation of Celeste’s contagious spirit: one that is energetic and that reveals a love for life.
By the fall of 2006 she had her first client, the Hilton Resorts in Barbados. Her first order was for 65 swimsuits. Realizing that her designs had international appeal, she committed to “STEPPING UP HER EFFORTS”
In 2007 Celeste launched her first collection, “Paradise.” This collection paid tribute to the Hollywood of old while displaying an explosion of glamour on the runway. With an eye for vibrant color, majestic fabrics, and glamorous accessories, she has made JOHNNY VINCENT the “must have” item for any woman’s swimwear collection.
Since the launch of Paradise collection, Celeste has not only participated in fashion shows all over the world but has landed the cover of NOIR magazine (a new European publication.) Just in October 08, Celeste participated in the “Thurgood Marshall Front Row Fashion Show”, which was a huge success. This show launched her upcoming appearance on ABC and several spreads in fashion publications.
JOHNNY VINCENT swimwear is now available in St. Vincent (the island behind the name), Aruba, Barbados and Jamaica.
With the upcoming launch of the “See You Watching” collection, Celeste plans to have all eyes on JOHNNY VINCENT.
