Posted February 20, 2008 -- BET presents The BET Honors Black Carpet Pre-Show, taking you on the evening’s red carpet with the best and brightest stars in Black culture. The BET Honors Black Carpet Pre-Show goes above and beyond to bring you up close and personal to all the action before the big awards show.
The BET Honors Black Carpet Pre-Show highlights the six nominees of the night, who each exemplify innovation and passion in their respective fields. The show hosts, Toure and Danella, will chat with the celebrities before the night kicks into gear.
Why was The BET Honors born? The EVP of Talent and Entertainment Programming Stephen Hill takes us through the making of the prestigious awards show. Then, witness students of DC’s Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts get a treat when they meet BET’s CEO Debra Lee and singing sensation John Legend. Cedric the Entertainer reveals what he has in store for the big show, and we get intimate with Tyra Banks, Blair Underwood, Hill Harper and more in the One-on-One Room. Later, a special presentation of the “KFC Pride 360 Award” will be bestowed to Dr. Sheryl Brissette Chapman, Executive Director of the National Center for Children and Families.
