Ashanti recently shared a belated but unforgettable recap of her 43rd birthday celebration, and it was nothing short of spectacular. 

The R&B sensation took to Instagram and posted a glimpse into the festivities. The video began with Ashanti's family and friends gathered at a Miami home, eagerly awaiting the singer's arrival. Little did she know, another surprise awaited her – her beau, Nelly, emerged to join the celebration.

"I genuinely had no idea any of this was happening," Ashanti confessed in the caption. "I literally thought we were just coming to Miami for the show…and I wouldn’t get to see Bighead until the following week because of our schedules."

The emotional reunion between Nelly and Ashanti took center stage, creating a heartwarming moment captured on film. The music transitioned from Jxke's "Golden Hour" to Saweetie, YG, and Tyga's "Birthday," amplifying the joyous atmosphere.

The house decked out in pink, white, silver, and transparent balloons, complemented by a cupcake tower featuring edible circular photos of Ashanti. The power couple even indulged in a game of basketball in the backyard, with Ashanti proudly claiming victory in her IG story. 

Toward the end of the festivities, Nelly surprised Ashanti with a lavish gift – a luxury watch and a dazzling heart chain, leaving her stunned and grateful.

"Thank [you], love [you]…@nelly and, of course, my family and team. I’m knocking all of y’all out for hiding everything from me! Love you all!" Ashanti expressed her gratitude in the caption.

The celebration continued with part two, set in Turks and Caicos, where Ashanti enjoyed the island vibes with local musicians, a three-layer floral cake, and the company of Usher at his Vegas residency. 

The singer embraced turning 43 with style, love, and a rekindled connection with Nelly, making her birthday an affair to remember.

Nelly and Ashanti first started dating in 2003, went through breakups and makeups for over 20 years, and in September 2023, Nelly confirmed their reunion on the Boss Moves with Rasheeda show. He expressed surprise at the rekindled romance. On the same day, Ashanti attended the 2023 MTV VMAs, showcasing a personalized clutch with a photo of her and the rapper.
