Kelly Rowland Addresses Texting Nelly via Microsoft Excel in ‘Dilemma’ Music Video

“Do you know how much flack I get from that?” said the Grammy winner.

After getting roasted and being the punt of many jokes on social media, Kelly Rowland is opening up about that infamous texting debacle she had with Nelly back in 2002.

The head-scratching moment can be rewatched in the "Dilemma" music video, directed by Benny Boom. In the visual, Rowland is seen texting Nelly via Microsoft Excel. While technology has evolved over the past 22 years, texting through Microsoft during that time continues to puzzle some fans today.

"WHERE YOU AT? HOLLA WHEN YOU GET THIS," read the message in the video, but Nelly never got it, which added to their dilemma.

Over two decades later and one billion streams of the video, Rowland is still the center of a never-ending conquest to figure out how that scene came to be.

“Do you know how much flack I get from that?” the "Motivation" singer told "Mystical Kitchen's Last Meal" host Josh Scherer. "I'm so used to it now."

Still, we're curious because the math ain't mathing.

When asked if anyone on the music video set questioned her decision to use Microsoft Excel to send the text, Rowland said, "No, and I’m actually mad at them that they didn’t because they made me look nuts."

Fans of the song and video know that after Rowland wrote the message, she appeared disappointed with her arms crossed.

"What did you expect? Because it’s just a draft, my dear," quipped Rowland.

The "Country Grammar" rapper also talked about that message fiasco. "That was the thing at the time. That was the new technology at the time. It looks a little dated now, I can see that," he said at the time while speaking to "The Project," as reported by The Independent.
