Several celebrities including DC YoungFly, Sevyn Streeter, Gabrielle Union, were seen in the comments section sharing their condolences about the heartbreaking news.

Earlier this month, Omarion hilariously set the record straight that he is simply an entertainer and not a variant of the coronavirus. The R&B singer shared a TikTok video on Jan. 1, addressing the jokes tied to his name and the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron.

“Hi everybody, this is Omarion. I am an artist, not a variant,” he says in the clip. “So please be aware that if you just so happen to run into me on the street, you don't have to be isolated for five days, nor do you have to have a negative test result in order to dance to my music.”
