Blog Apologizes to Malik Yoba for Spreading Drug Rumor
Malik Yoba has taken the blogger that spread rumors that he suffers from substance abuse to task. The Empire actor found that the source of the gossip was popular celebrity news site The Inquisitr, and demanded an apology and full retraction.
Yoba first told TMZ that the rumors were completely false and that the parties that started them would be held accountable. He added that Empire boss Lee Daniels had his back as the rumors picked up steam on the blogosphere.
Hours later, The Inquisitr published a full retraction on its website. "Stories previously published, within the last week at the Inquisitr, had attributed to unfounded rumors regarding actor Malik Yoba and his departure from the popular show, Empire," the blog wrote. "While no Inquisitr writer was responsible for generating said rumors, which alleged substance abuse, the Inquisitr’s management and editorial staff would like to officially retract these stories in full and apologize to Mr. Yoba for any duress he may have endured as a result of these reports."
Score one for Malik.
