In 2021, two of the music industry’s highly talented artists Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak teamed up to create the dynamic, soulful duo Silk Sonic. The pair released their debut studio album, A Evening with Silk Sonic 2021, which was met with critical acclaim. So it’s no surprise when the two swept award ceremonies, including earning the “Best Group” award at the BET Awards 2022.

“777”
The duo’s “777” record is like its name, the seventh track on their debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic. The song is an equal blend of each artist’s individual sound.
“Smokin’ Out The Window”
Silk Sonic’s success continued as they released their third single, “Smokin’ Out The Window.” The track ultimately peaked at number two on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and went certified platinum twice.
“Skate”
The group initially teased this soulful track in an interview with Rolling Stones before its official release in November 2021.
“Love Train”
Bruno and Anderson delivered the ultimate love song on Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2022, with this funk-inspired ballad, “Love Train.” The song also features vocals from funk legend Bootsy Collins.
“Leave The Door Open”
During the 2021 BET Awards, Silk Sonic graced the stage with a velvety rendition of their hit debut record, “Leave The Door Open.”
The 2023 BET Awards premieres Sunday, June 25 at 8 pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her.
