Tupac Biopic Finds Its Jada Pinkett

Meet the PYT who will play Pac's best friend.

The Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me, which recently began production in Atlanta, is rounding out its cast. The latest role to be filled is that of Tupac's closest friend, Jada Pinkett (she wasn't a Smith yet at that time, of course). Jada and Pac first met in high school at the Baltimore School for the Arts.
Kat Graham will play the young Jada. You might recognize her from the hit prime-time soap Vampire Diaries. Kat shared the news on her social media pages, and so far everybody seems down with this choice. Look below, can you see it?

Graham joins newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., who joined the cast last month as Tupac, Jamal Woolard, who will play Biggie Smalls, and Walking Dead star Danai Gurira, who recently signed on to play Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur. Music video director Benny Boom recently came aboard as director, replacing Carl Franklin and John Singleton.
No word yet on a release date for All Eyez on Me, though at this pace, we wouldn't be surprised if it hits theaters later this year. Catch more info on the biopic with BET Breaks below:
