The Internet Responds to Beanie Sigel Calling Homosexuality 'Sickening'

Hip-hop still has a long way to go.

Beanie Sigel’s Breakfast Club interview was mostly memorable for him revealing that he wrote reference tracks for Meek Mill, but he made another comment that caught the attention of listeners.

Right after hearing a Yung Joc diss that was aimed at him, and subsequently laughing it off, the Broad Street Bully decided to reveal something about himself: he’s a homophobe.

“That right there, it’s about like just going too far,” he explained. “Even in the media and television, this homosexuality s**t is at an all time high and it’s sickening to me. I shouldn’t have to explain to my son why two men is on prime time television kissing.” He then added, “Nothing positive or good comes out of that.”

Charlamagne Tha God, who knew an impending Twitter storm was on the radar, decided to help Beans find shelter by suggesting that maybe he’s talking about femininity rather than homosexuality. It didn’t work.

“You gotta say what’s politically correct,” Beanie said. “I don’t give a f**k.”

Well, at least there’s no gray area in his very ignorant stance. To that note, DJ Envy quickly changed the subject to something else. Sigel’s comments did not escape Twitter though. Those who were listening decided to chime in, and you can see their comments as well as the full Breakfast Club interview below.
