WATCH: Jennifer Hudson And Amber Riley Sing ‘Dreamgirls’ Duet
Amber Riley joined Jennifer Hudson for a powerful rendition of the Dreamgirls song “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday (Dec. 5).
Riley’s knockout duet comes right on the heels of her winning The Masked Singer.
The Glee alum posted the clip of her and the American Idol alum performing the hit on her Instagram and captioned the post, “A 'DREAM' come true! Thank you for always being so kind to me and always supporting me, and for being such a powerhouse trailblazer. I love you @iamjhud!”

"Playing Effie, I'm sure you became close to that character, like I became close to that character, and really knew her,” Riley said about the kinship with the character. “Having her story be like this gift, and not being able to be out in the front, I feel like doing things like Masked Singer, doing things like Dancing With The Stars, I get to be the winner for those stories, so it's full-circle for me."
She and Hudson both have played the Dreamgirls role of Effie, Hudson’s Effie portrayal in the film won her an Oscar back in 2006, and Riley’s Effie took the London stage for the musical in 2016.
