Chris Paul on DeAndre Jordan: Like My Big Little Brother

CP3 dispels rumors of rift with Los Angeles Clippers center.

Chris Paul heard about all the reports of there being a rift between him and Los Angeles Clippers teammate DeAndre Jordan...and they just don't matter.

All that matters to CP3 is that the Clippers were able to convince their star center to return.

"DeAndre's like my big little brother," Paul told ESPN before the first annual Players' Awards were taped for BET on Sunday in Las Vegas. "We talk a lot more than people ever realize. But it doesn't matter [what people say]. The only thing that matters is that he's back."

Jordan had offered his verbal agreement to the Dallas Mavericks on a four-year, $80 million max deal, but spurned the Mavs at the last minute to remain a Clipper via a four-year extension worth $87 million.

In addition to re-upping with Jordan, the Clippers were able to add Paul PierceLance Stephenson, Wesley Johnson and most recently Josh Smith in what has been a busy and successful off season for the franchise, which blew a 3-1 Western Conference semifinals lead against the Houston Rockets in the playoffs.

"We brought in Paul, who I'm probably the happiest about because of his championship pedigree and that voice in our locker room," CP3 said. "We brought in Lance, Wes Johnson, signed Austin [Rivers] back. Josh Smith. Yeah, so, big summer for us."
