My Tracks, Moves, Map My Run, Runtime, Runkeeper

There are quite a few apps on the market that convert your phone into a pedometer and track your walking/running goals. My Tracks (free) is Google's GPS tracking app that records your path, velocity, distance and elevation; Moves (free) constantly records your walks, cycles and runs to create an automatic storyline of your fitness activities; Map My Run (free) tracks more than 600 different activities as well as nutrition and weight management; Runtime (free) lets users create custom workouts and configure alerts for high and low interval training; Runkeeper (free) has audio coaching and integrates with the music on your phone so you can jam while you run. Our favorites are My Run and Runkeeper.
