The New York Daily News reports Kanye went into a jealous rage when well-known celebrity bodyguard Steve Stanulis volunteered to bring up a package for the couple. The rapper, who was in a nearby room, was heard loudly asking why the bodyguard was chatting with his wife outside her door, before yelling, "This isn't right!"
When the couple arrived at the Met Gala, Steve, who is usually just a couple feet away, was nowhere to be found. It was reported that he was let go shortly after 6 p.m. while he waited along with the rest of the couple's entourage.
This apparently isn't the rapper's first run-in with the chiseled bodyguard. It's reported that back in February, during Fashion Week, 'Ye confronted him after noticing him chatting it up with Kim.
Just to paint a picture of Steve's appearance, he is a former NYPD officer who once worked as a Chippendales' dancer and even had a few stints on The Sopranos and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Though his social media accounts are private, you can see what he looks like here.
When asked about the situation, Steve simply said, "I'm a happily married man with three children and I have no comment."
Sources close to the Wests told TMZ no one was technically fired since Steve was only hired to help out with that one event. The source added it was strictly a temp deal and nothing more.
It's also reported that the chances of Steve getting hired by Kimye's camp again are pretty slim as they believe he leaked the story of him being "fired" for publicity.
