The cast of the highly anticipated Black Panther film is shaping up to be a stage for Black excellence and they're continuing along that trend by allegedly adding Star Wars: The Force Awakens breakout star John Boyega in the mix.
According to Screenrant, it's very likely the actor could be meeting with the film's director Ryan Coogler about a possible role in the film, set to release on February 16, 2018.
The London native sparked the rumors himself in a recent Snapchat post labeled with the caption "Meeting." Shortly after his snap went viral, Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios' president, started following him on Twitter.
After that, an article from Heroic Hollywood reported, "Hot, unconfirmed scuttlebutt is telling me Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega may be meeting for the film as well."
Interestingly enough, Boyega was gunning for the lead role of T'Challa before Chadwick Boseman was cast, so it would not be surprising if he was involved in the project in another capacity. His involvement is also very likely since Feige has confirmed that Black Panther will consist of about 90 percent African-American or African cast members.
