Paris Jackson Breaks Her Silence About Rumors of Instability

Are people right to worry about her?

Paris Jackson has been raising eyebrows with her behavior of late, particularly for her numerous — and sometimes strange — tattoos. Her latest ink, of the creepy bunny from the film Donnie Darko, had people wondering if she was slipping back into a dark place (in the film, the bunny represents the lead character's inner psyche and lures him toward a dangerous path).
Quite the contrary, says Paris.
The ink, rather than be cause for concern, actually represents her new lease on life.

Michael Jackson's daughter posted a beautiful response to all her concerned fans and family members to Instagram, explaining what her tattoos mean to her:
"The craftsmanship of tattoos will always be a controversy. some people like them, some people absolutely hate them," she wrote. "i appreciate art, i always have. especially when that art means something to me. today i can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, i don't see a dark past anymore. my scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth."

In talking about her inner forearms, Paris is of course referring to her suicide attempt several years ago, which caused her to shun the spotlight for over two years as she bravely dealt with her issues.
The 18-year-old re-emerged just last year looking healthier and happier than ever. She even has a new boyfriend, rocker Michael Snoddy, and used one of her 23 tattoos to pay tribute to her late father, who died seven years ago this June.
We couldn't be happier to see Paris on a positive path. Between her inner strength and everything she stands to inherit — see BET Breaks above to find out just how much — the world is truly her oyster.
