Guess Who Protested With Black Lives Matter at the Republican National Convention

Do we have another celebrity #WokeBae after Jesse Williams?

Melania Trump's plagiarized speech wasn't the only thing that went down at the Republican National Convention yesterday. A Black Lives Matter protest also took place right outside Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena, where the RNC was taking place, and it had some major star power from a celebrity.

So, who took the time away from his insanely busy schedule to march with BLM?

That would be Nick Cannon. The actor/host/rapper was front and center with protesters, and even made a speech about police brutality.

“We want to be respected,” Cannon told the crowd. “We want to feel safe. We want the American Dream. You are messing with our peace of mind. We can’t operate as Americans when we can’t walk outside and feel safe. We are going to be out here for the entire convention and make sure our voices are heard.”

Today we stood strong!!

Good for Nick for being so woke. Hopefully other celebs will join him and help bring even more attention to Black Lives Matter and the vital work the movement does.

His new activities may also have the added benefit of taking Nick's mind off of his divorce from Mariah Carey. Get the latest on their conscious uncoupling with Wendy Williams, above.
