Did This 'Love and Hip Hop' Star Lie About Police Brutality?

There's more to the story than meets the eye.

Published July 21st

Yesterday, one of the stars of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta posted a series of dashcam videos on Instagram showing herself being brutalized by police. But is there more to the story than we saw on camera?

According to the Atlanta PD, there is.

Tommie Lee did a post-and-delete yesterday with the dashcam videos, alleging that she was just sitting in the back seat of the car minding her own business when cops dragged her out and cuffed her like an animal. But now the cop that arrested her is saying she wasn't telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

According to TMZ, the officer says that as Tommie's vehicle was approached, he saw it rocking back and forth with some movement, which he believed to be Tommie switching places with someone in the back. When cops confronted her in the backseat, which is what we see in the video, her "eyes were watery, bloodshot and her speech was slurred, so she was booked for drunk driving, disorderly conduct and driving on an expired license."

The fellow in the back admitted that Tommie had been driving and that he switched with her.

The scary part is that Tommie was reportedly so drunk she could barely stand. This was also seen on the video, though Tommie attributed her staggering to the cops slamming her head against the ground. What's more, according to the cop, Tommie peed herself in the squad car on the way to the station.

The reality star, of course, denies everything. Watch below and be the judge:

We don't know who's telling the truth and who's lying, but if Tommie used the country's fear of police brutality to gain sympathy or plot lines, that would be reprehensible.

Meanwhile, catch up on the aftermath of the undeniable case of police misconduct against Philando Castile with BET Breaks above.
