SMH: Here's Miss Teen USA's Bizarre Excuse for Using the N-Word

Are you buying it?

Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
Karlie Hay of Texas was announced as the newest Miss Teen USA on Sunday night, and no one was surprised that she's white, blonde and blue-eyed. But what did come as a shock were the receipts Twitter dug up on her racist past — filled with the N-word — that was hiding in plain sight.

One Twitter user posted a screenshot of her archived comments. "Watching taken with out my n****r @maryguinn1 because she chooses @Willis_Trace over me. Feel special b***h. @maryguinn1 I know I'm a comedian n****r. @KarsenRandell what are you talking about n****r. @KarsenRandell I am home n****r."

Shortly after her old Tweets went viral (almost immediately after she was crowned, it seems), Hay took to Twitter to apologize for the offensive tweets:

Unsurprisingly, Hay will face zero consequences outside the court of public opinion for her remarks, as the Miss Teen USA organization is allowing her to keep her crown.
What do you think of her apology? Are you buying it or nah?
