Breaking: Judge Rules on Nick Gordon's Involvement in Bobbi Kristina’s Death

Bobby Brown releases a statement about the ruling.

A judge has officially made a ruling in Nick Gordon's involvement in his late ex-girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown's death. According to Us Magazine, he was found "legally responsible" in the young scion's wrongful death suit after he failed to appear in court earlier today.

"Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford ruled today that Nick Gordon is legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina Brown's death after the defendant failed to appear in court," the statement from Atlanta's Fulton County Court reads. "A jury will determine the amount of damages to be awarded to Brown's conservator."

In response to the recent ruling, Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, has issued a statement: "I am pleased with the outcome of today's court proceedings," he said. "All I ever wanted was answers relating to who and what caused my daughter's death. Today's judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon. Now I need to process all the emotions I have and lean on God to get me and my family through this."

This has all stemmed from Bobbi Kristina's death in July 2015, which began when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia residence in January of that year. She passed at the age of 22 following a six-month medically induced coma. One month after her confirmed death, her estate filed a $50 million wrongful death suit against Gordon.

Court documents filed by Bobbi Kristina's conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, stated that "Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with [Gordon] after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture."
