Former Orange Is the New Black star Samira Wiley may have officially said goodbye to the series after the latest season, but it looks like the series will remain a central part of her life as she just got engaged to one of its writers, Lauren Morelli.
Wiley took to Instagram earlier today to share the news of their engagement with her followers. Take a look at her gorgeous ring below:
The couple first fell in love on the set of the Netflix original series, where Wiley starred as fan favorite Poussey Washington and Morelli was a staff writer.
Before working on the show, Morelli was married to television writer Steve Basilone. However, in May 2014, she penned an essay for Mic revealing that working on Orange Is the New Black opened her eyes to realizing that she was a gay woman and was in love with Wiley.
Congratulations to the happy couple on their engagement!
