'Holler If You Hear Me: Black and Gay in the Church' Coming to University of South Carolina Upstate

Come see the groundbreaking BET.com doc.

If you're in the South Carolina area on October 20, you're in luck as Clay Cane, award-winning journalist and director of the BET.com original documentary Holler If You Hear Me: Black and Gay in the Church, is speaking during Diversity Week at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

The event, which consists of a screening and discussion of the doc, is free of charge and is open to the general public.

Since its premiere, the doc has raised awareness of homophobia in the Black church and was even showcased at the White House during Black History Month. In addition to that major achievement, it also earned a 2016 GLAAD Media Award nomination for Outstanding Digital Journalism.

Take a look at the full doc in the video, above.
