Epic News for Tracy Morgan

The comedian is making a huge comeback.

Tracy Morgan is gearing up for his grand return to comedy television as he's confirmed to star in a brand new TBS comedy created and executive produced by Jordan Peele and John Carcieri.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tracy will play the role of a man who had just been released from prison after serving a 15-year sentence. He will be in for a shock as, once returning to his hometown of Brooklyn, he learns that everything's been gentrified — even his love life has changed as his ex-girlfriend moves on to marry a successful white man, who is helping her in raising his twin sons.

"Wanting nothing more than to connect with his kids, but having neither the money to support them nor himself, Tracy falls back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading on unfamiliar territory," the log line reads.

Before finding its home at TBS, the project was being developed at FX, but the network decided to pass on it.

According to TBS's breakdown, the currently unnamed series will focus on race relations, the Gen X/Millennial gap and the American penal system.

Morgan will also serve as an executive producer of the film alongside Peele and Carcieri.
