Tamar Braxton has been making a conscious effort to stay out of trouble on social media. However, one fan's recent commentary rubbed her the wrong way and she had no choice but to share a strong reaction, regardless of whether or not she'd be called "petty" as a result. 

A fan noticed her three-year-old son, Logan, perhaps on SnapChat or another video, and reached out to the singer, advising that her child may need speech therapy. As a result, Braxton posted a heated rebuttal and her and the fan ended up going back and forth multiple times. 

Now that Braxton has since calmed down from the sensitive incident, she has decided to take a new approach and apologize.

"I WOKE UP from a sick nap and thought about things," the singer posted on Instagram. "And I truly, humbly apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings by poppin off..I am mama bear!!!"

Her heartfelt caption was posted on a regrammed image reading, "I am so sorry to all the people I hurt while I was hurting."

"And honestly, although I STILL feel that comment about Logan wasn't necessary, I want You who said it and everyone else to know that name calling to anyone isn't nice, and getting words twisted and being misunderstood never feels good to anyone," Braxton continued.

She then goes on to detail that she knows what it is like firsthand, being in the public eye, what it is like to have experiences and situations misconstrued or twisted, and that she didn't want this to be another example of that. 

The fan got wind of Braxton's message and let her know once more that her intentions were genuine, but that she did overstep a boundary. She also explained that she felt close to Braxton and viewed her as a friend, which is why she reached out in the first place.

While the two didn't agree on whether or not the parenting advice was warranted, it's clear both learned something from the passionate exchanges.
