Watch: Evelyn Lozada Breaks Down in Tears Talking About Domestic Violence

The reality star famously suffered at the hands of her ex Chad Johnson.

Former Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada is currently the week-long guest host on The Real, and while her run over the past couple of days has been pretty light-hearted, things got a bit heavy on this morning's segment. The reality star broke down when speaking on her abusive relationship with ex Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson.

The topic came up when the co-hosts began discussing the recent press Kansas City Chiefs' Tyreek Hill, a player known for his history of domestic violence, has been getting for his actions.

Evelyn, when asked about the situation, began to tear up, recalling her own past experience with domestic violence.

"My heart goes out to the victim," she said. "Please don't tweet me, telling me, 'This happened four years ago, get over it.' It's something that stays with you forever."

The time she is referring to is her 2012 marriage to Johnson, who was arrested on domestic battery charges during their marriage, which only lasted a few months. Though he avoided jail time, he received one year of probation.
