13 New Year's Resolutions For Our Fave Celebrities
It's been an intense year for all of us, from the deaths of so many idols to the meltdown of the Kardashians and more.
The new year is just a few hours away, giving everyone a clean slate as soon as the ball drops at midnight. But for some of our favorite stars, resolutions are necessary to correct the mistakes of the past year. Here's what we'd like to see from Kimye, Lil Wayne, Tamar Braxton and more in 2017.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Take a Year Off
At points in 2016 it seemed like this couple would never come back down to earth from their incredible level of success and fame, but with Kim’s terrifying Paris robbery incident, and Kanye’s mental collapse, and apparent support of the incoming President Trump, it may be time for 2017 to be a much quieter year.
Lil Wayne: Enroll in a Black History Class
The rapper angered fans when he addressed the Black Lives Matter movement in a recent interview, saying, “That just sounds weird, I don’t know, that you put a name on it. It’s not a name, it’s not ‘whatever, whatever,’ it’s somebody got shot by a policeman for a f*cked up reason… I am a young black rich mother*cker. If that don’t let you know that America understand that matter these days, I don’t know what it is.” Wayne added, “I’m a n*gga. I don’t know what you mean, man. Don’t come at me with with that dumb a** sh*t, ma’am. My life matter. [Looks at camera] Especially to my b*itches.” Time to hit the books, Wayne.
Orlando Brown: Go to Rehab
The former That’s So Raven star has seemingly fallen on some very darks times, and everytime his name pops up in the news he seems to have fallen deeper into the throws of addiction. While much of what he has said is downright scary, you can only hope that he gets the help he so clearly needs.
Tamar Braxton: Let It Go
The former The Real co-host has continued to shade her former friends and coworkers. While we may never really know who did who wrong, it seems like Tamar really just needs to focus on moving on, Lord knows the remaining The Real hosts have.
Chris Brown: No More House Parties in LA
The R&B star had another controversy-filled year. Early in the year he had to file a restraining order against a mentally ill stalker, and then later had a standoff with LAPD after a woman called 911 to report that the star had threatened her with a firearm inside his home. With new reports surfacing that he is interested in getting his ex-flame Karrueche Tran back, 2017 could be a year where Brown tries to stay out of the headlines – though that seems unlikely.
Stevie J and Peter Gunz: Get a Vasectomy
The two Love & Hip Hop stars just can’t keep it in their pants. Stevie J has found himself in an insane mess with his "wife" Joseline Hernandez over custody of their newborn, while also facing jail time over seven figures in unpaid child support to his ex Carol Bennett. Peter Gunz is somehow in an even messier situation as he may have gotten his ex Tara Wallace pregnant again, potentially adding to his lineup of ten children. Did we mention he recently welcomed a child with Amina Buddafly?
Mariah Carey: Put Out an Album
Mariah Carey has been in the news for a lot of reasons this year, sadly for us, none of them have been new music. While a Vegas residency and a stint on reality TV are great, we need Mimi to remind us why we love her so much in the first place and drop an album. Besides, after the year she's had, she has plenty of material for a followup to The Emancipation of Mimi.
Donald Trump: Try Not to Get Us All Killed
The president elect has already proven to be one of the most divisive presidents in United States history. With his confounding domestic policy, his call (on Twitter) to ramp up the nuclear arms race, a pledge to go to war with China and his cozy relationship with Russian dictator Vladamir Putin, it will be a shock if he can keep the entire country from falling apart in 2017.
Tyga: Get a Financial Manager
The rapper has faced money trouble throughout his life, but 2016 was something else. He was sued by multiple landlords seeking back rent He was also forced to pay $200,000 he owed a jeweler over a gold watch and chain that he had never paid for, and also had his Ferrari repossessed and was then sued $150,000 over missed payments. As long as he sticks with Kylie, though, it seems he’ll be living a charmed life.
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna: Get Couples Therapy
They've been together less than a year, but the new parents have already broken up and gotten back together so many times we’re starting to lose count. The latest blowout fight drove Rob to the hospital. For the sake of their newborn daughter Dream, and their own sanity, let’s hope 2017 is a year of reconciliation and love for these two.
Lil Kim: Hold On to What's Left of Your Melanin
New surgeries and alleged skin-bleaching treatments have us wondering, who's that girl? Here's hoping that the Hip Hop icon can hold on the what is left of her former chocolate beauty.
Meek Mill: Put a Ring On It
Tina Lawson: Make a Workout Video
The 62-year-old mother of two continues to defy everything we know about aging and it’s time she shares the wealth!
