DL Hughley Defends George Lopez Over Anti-Black Joke
George Lopez was brutally slammed after making what many considered a racist joke during one of his shows and kicking out an audience member who voiced her disgust with it.
Not everyone is against the comic, though, as his fellow funny buddy DL Hughley has come to his defense.
"If you're offended by a joke, don't go see certain people," he said during an interview. "If you didn't buy a ticket to the show, shut up. Nobody cares what you think."
This all began when Lopez delivered the joke, saying, "There are only two rules in the Latino family: Don't marry somebody Black, and don't park in front of our house."
After he noticed a visibly offended woman seated in the front-row giving him the double bird, he responded, in front of the entire crowd, "Sit your f*****g a** down or get the f**k out. I'm talking, b***h. You paid to see a show. Sit your a** down."
