Tyrese came under fire from a lot of Black women this past week after he made some completely unsolicited comments about wigs and weaves. The Fast & Furious star caused anger for saying "we know the difference between real hair and clip ons" and "sitting across from you and you couldn't even HIDE your weave tracks??"

While many are rightfully popping off on Tyrese using colorful words, rude memes and ALL CAPS, Yandy Smith of Love & Hip Hop fame is taking a different route to get her point across. In our BET.com Facebook Live with Yandy, we asked her what she'd like to say to Tyrese for slamming her and other women who choose to enhance their natural beauty with the help of weaves, wigs, extensions, fillers and the like. Her response was classy yet unequivocal. See below!

Yandy said of his criticism, “If that’s his opinion maybe that works for him in his household, I didn’t see where he said that, but you know I think it’s a personal opinion and maybe that works for him and his new wife, congratulations to Tyrese by the way." She pointedly adds, “I personally love my weave.”

She continued, “I love being versatile, my natural hair is amazing, I love going natural, and especially when I’m shooting I love putting units on because it just protects and preserves my hair." She continued, "You know I don’t like to straighten my hair, my hair is completely natural and curly. So when I straighten it all the time it changes that curl pattern, so to put a unit on, really quickly Tyrese, it helps, it helps conserve my natural hair. And I like to be versatile."

She then addressed Tyrese directly once again, saying, "So if that helps you understand, Tyrese, why some of us do it, I hope you understand."
