Janet Jackson’s Estranged Husband Reportedly Has a Message for Her

He posted it on his website.

The split between Janet Jackson and her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana, has slipped into a new level of shade.

On Thursday, Al Mana posted a passage on his website from the Muslim holy book, the Quran, seemingly sharing his thoughts on the split and directing the words at his estranged wife.

“You shall most certainly be tried in your possessions and in your persons; and indeed you shall hear many hurtful things from those to whom revelation was granted before your time, as well as from those who have come to ascribe divinity to other beings beside Allah,” the homepage of WissamAlMana.com reads. “But if you remain patient in adversity and conscious of Him – this, behold, is something to set one’s heart upon.”

According to People, who spoke with Dr. Rita George-Tvrtkovic, a theology professor at Benedictine University in Illinois, one of the reasons for the split could be because Jackson and Al Mana were trying to raise their newborn son, Eissa, under two religions, as Al Mana is a Muslim, and Jackson was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. Dr. George-Tvrtkovic told People it's “not really possible” to raise the child as both religions, adding, "The children issue is always the biggest issue."

Whatever the reason, it is clear that both sides are taking the split seriously.
