Columbus Short Sends a Message to the 'Scandal' Cast
The Scandal cast had much to celebrate earlier this week as they aired the 100th episode of the monster smash drama.
With that huge milestone in place, several Gladiators and celebrity fans took to social media to extend their congratulations to the accomplished cast. One of them was even former cast member Columbus Short, who tweeted some kind words to his former coworkers.
The actor, who once played Harrison in the earlier seasons of the series, extended his congratulations to Shonda Rhimes, Kerry Washington, and the extended cast on the major accomplishment.
Appreciative of his kind words, his former cast mates Darby Stanchfield and Joshua Malina responded with some love in return.
Short's exit from the show was catalyzed by his 2015 felony and domestic violence assault charges. A year earlier, he admitted to being heavily under the influence of drugs and shared that it majorly contributed to his demise.
"I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy duty stuff in my life," he said on Access Hollywood. "I was doing cocaine and drinking a lot, and trying to balance a 16-hour work schedule a day, and a family, and, I just lost myself back then."
