Mel B's former nanny, whom the singer accused of engaging in an affair with her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte, is filing a lawsuit against her, claiming she made false accusations about her.

According to TMZ, Lorraine Gilles found the former Spice Girls' claims that she had a hand in the dissolving of their marriage, and that she also had an abortion, preposterous.

In addition to the cheating and pregnancy accusations, Mel B also reportedly claimed that Gilles and Belafonte stole money from her over the years and even had control over the sex tapes that Belafonte threatened to release without her permission.

Gilles reportedly believes that her legal documents adequately outline, with the help of exhibits and pictures, that Mel B's accusations are all false.

The site further reports that a person usually cannot be sued for what he/she says in court documents. However, in the state of California, family law cases hold an exception when someone makes a claim against third parties who are not directly involved in the case. In the instance of Mel B and Belafonte's divorce, Lorraine Giles is a third party.
