Phaedra Almost Drove Kandi to Make a Drastic Move Following 'RHOA' Drama
The drama and accusations between Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss dominated the last season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, wading into uncharted territory when Phaedra accused Kandi of sexual assault.
Of course, anyone who watched the reunion (or glanced at Twitter) knows that Phaedra's allegations proved to be false, but they did plenty of damage nonetheless. So much so, that Kandi almost took drastic steps to distance herself from her conniving co-stars.
The drama got so bad, Kandi was considering leaving the show, she admits in a new interview.
“During season 9, I was feeling like I might want to leave because there was so much hate from fans online and I was having trouble because, how do you defend yourself from a lie?” Burruss told Us Weekly. “How do you defend yourself from something that never happened?”
“I've never had drama like that that lasted the whole season. It was very sh--ty,” she continued. “But now I'm extremely happy that people were able to see the truth. Sometimes I thought people would never know the truth and it would have been a stain on me forever.”
Thankfully, Kandi was vindicated in the reunion special and seems to be staying put for now.
