Exclusive: Taye Diggs On His Booty Pic And The Backlash He Received For Saying His Son Is Mixed

In case you missed it!

Taye Diggs is out promoting his latest film, the thriller Til Death Do Us Part, which is in theaters this Friday. BET.com got an exclusive sit-down with the actor for Facebook Live and he didn't hold back!

Along with taking hilarious questions from fans, Mr. Diggs discussed his two viral moments over the last two years, one being his bare booty shot that broke the internet. See below:

Taye told us about the pic, "I guess I'm just not in tuned — I thought it was funny. I had no idea that it would garner so much attention and that I would get asked so many questions. It was funny to me so I posted it."

Back in November 2015, Taye got into some hot water for saying he hoped the world will see his son as biracial and not simply Black. Diggs feared that if society sees his son as Black, there will be "confusion" with his mother being white. "When you [call biracial kids Black], you risk disrespecting that one half of who you are and that's my fear," he explained to theGrio.com. "I don't want my son to be in a situation where he calls himself Black and everyone thinks he has a Black mom and a Black dad, and then they see a white mother, they wonder, 'Oh, what's going on?'"
Taye was attacked online for days and told us that he felt misunderstood. "That happens. But that gives me an opportunity to talk about issues that we don't really talk about."
